Congratulations on your decision to get married. We welcome your interest in celebrating your special day at St Cuthbert’s Anglican Church. Our church offers a unique setting for a wedding in the Tweed Shire. The ceremony will provide an opportunity for you to make your vows in a sacred space and to ask for God’s blessing on your life together. We welcome those who wish to take this step and will do everything we can to help make your special day all that you are dreaming of.

First Steps:

Once you have chosen a date for your wedding please contact the Parish Office to make a booking; you will be required to pay a non-refundable $50 deposit at this time. Please be aware that there are certain months of the year when it is advisable to book well in advance. The Parish Office is open from 9am-1pm Monday – Friday. Alternatively you are welcome to contact the Parish Priest by phoning (07) 55361060.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Do I have to be Anglican to be married in St Cuthbert’s? You do not have to be Anglican to be married in one of our churches; however, either the bride or groom should be a baptized member of a Christian Church.

Can I use a civil celebrant for the ceremony? To be married in the Anglican Church you must be married according to the rites of the Anglican Church, and your celebrant is required to be an Anglican Priest. Clergy from other churches are most welcome to assist.

Can I be married in St Cuthbert’s if I have previously been divorced? If a previous marriage has ended in divorce, you can be re-married in the Anglican Church, but you will need to provide formal documentation regarding the ending of your previous marriage.
